Owner of Nojima Consulting in Los Altos, CA, Isao was Senior Vice President, Standard Memory Product Group at Silicon Storage Technology, Inc., a fabless Flash memory manufacturer. He spent 12 years at SST in various V.P. positions from 1993 to 2004. The Standard Memory Product Group under his leadership achieved sales of $300 million in the year 2000. He was mostly engaged in memory and logic designs at Toshiba R & D Center, Kawasaki, Japan from 1969 to 1976, various memory designs at Intel Technology Development from 1977 to 1980, created most of Xicor’s non-volatile EEPROM products (defined the industry standard Software Data Protection commands) from 1980 to 1990, and developed fast FCT logic products at Pericom Semiconductor from 1990 to 1993. He holds 28 patents and co-authored the textbook “The Basics of Transistor Circuits” in Japanese in 1976. He was a 2003 ISSCC memory committee member.
His current areas of interest are in green/clean energy, especially in solar cells and wind turbines for electricity and bioEthanol for use in transportation.
