Dr. Knight served as CEO of Nanochip, inc., a developer of a disruptive MEMS storage chip technology from 2002 through 2009.  Prior to his tenure at Nanochip, Dr. Knight founded three optical disk drive companies, TeraStor Corporation from 1996 to 2000, Maxoptix Corporation from 1986 to 1996 , and Optimem Corporation from 1980 to 1986, serving in various positions from CTO to CEO.  Dr. Knight holds a PhD and MS in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and a BS in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
