James Gershon is a Vice President in the Commercial Insurance division at Thoits Insurance. As Vice President, Mr. Gershon is responsible for designing, implementing, and monitoring insurance and risk management programs for his clients. Mr. Gershon joined Thoits in 2002 and is a member of the Thoits Insurance Board of Directors.

Prior to his thriving insurance career, Mr. Gershon worked in the banking industry with Merrill Lynch for 2 years. Currently working with a diverse group of clients, Mr. Gershon specializes in social service organizations, educational institutions, non-profit organizations, wholesalers and distributors, technology firms and property owners / developers.

He has achieved the Certified Schools Risk Manager and Accredited Advisor in Insurance designations. Currently, James is a member of Business Forums International, a nationally recognized Executive networking group. James, resides in Menlo Park, California.

James earned his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, majoring in Finance from the University of Colorado at Boulder. During his collegiate years, he participated in athletics and several school-based organizations. He is an avid golfer, loves to travel and was born and raised in Palo Alto
